The Secure Treatment Facility Bid Package 2 (BP2) project consisted of the construction a maximum security 1,500 Bed Acute Care Psychiatric Hospital, located in the City of Coalinga. Construction included site development of 320 acres, engineering improvements and a campus of one and two-story buildings totaling 1.2 million square feet. The project was constructed using multiple prime contracts; BP2 Facilities and Infrastructure portion of this project included buildings and all site infrastructure, including final earthwork, onsite utility distribution and site drainage systems.
Signet provided special inspection and materials testing services related to earthwork concrete, structural welding, and structural masonry. As part of Signet’s “On-Call” CDCR state contract, we were originally projected to provide interim services during to be on-site for 1 to 2 months with a need for two inspectors, we demonstrated the ability to respond to the needs of our client with the request of a significantly increased staff of up to six inspectors and an extended duration.
