The Library & Learning Resource Center (LLRC) project was part of the Measure N Bond program and opened in the summer of 2010. The 64,000 square foot poured in place concrete building has 500 reader stations, a testing and tutoring center, instructional media production facilities, 30 media viewing stations, group study rooms and a café. The Performing Arts Center ($32 million) is a 47,000 square foot theater and music instruction facility consisting of a main theater performance space (seats 500), theater support studios, recital hall, practice rooms, class rooms, dedicated space for a scene shop and costume shop, box office, service kitchen, lobby, terrace and administrative offices.
Signet provided special inspection and materials testing services for these projects encompassing structural steel welding inspection and NDT testing for both shop fabrication and field erection of structural steel, reinforced concrete sampling and testing, fireproofing inspection, proof load and torque testing, and non-destructive reinforcing steel location.
