The Colusa Power Generating Station (CGS) project was a 660-megawatt natural gas-fired, dry-cooled, combined-cycle electric generating facility. Construction included a new switchyard, two gas turbine generators, two multi-pressure heat recovery steam generators, one steam turbine-generator system, and a 1000 kW standby diesel generator for extended utility outages. The plant incorporated a zero liquid discharge waste water treatment system.
Signet provided special inspections and materials testing services including soils compaction testing, geotechnical observation, asphalt concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and non-destructive testing of welds (UT/MT).
